stupid conversation..

mom: Sharmi, are you in love with someone?

me: No! why are you asking like this.. you donot trust me eh? (am sure she does not:))

mom: i am wondering if that could be the reason for you to reject all the guys i show you..

me: if that was the case, i might have told you long back, got married and have had 2 kids..

mom: (gives a sarcastic look!)

me: ok temme if you will accept for love marriage..

mom: yes sure i will if the guy is a brahmin..

me: is that all or do you have anyother conditions?

mom: he should be an iyer as well..

me: okayyyy..

mom: he should also not belong to the same gothram..

me: why not?!

mom: sharmi, you cannot get married to your brother.. donot try making your own rules..

me: yea right.. (me regretting for even asking her this question)

i thought i will get away with this and not get into a whole big thing about asking why's anymore..
